In the world of fashion, what's old is new again — and Lululemon is leaning into the throwback trend with the release of their newest (old) yoga pants.

The brand has begun digging into their archives to rerelease shopper-favourite styles in a limited-edition Throwback Collection. A new item will be dropping monthly over the course of the summer, with Y2K-inspired styles bringing the energy of the early 2000s back into stores and online.

Curious to know the first item to hit shelves? It's none other than the cult-classic Astro Pant.

Designed with an improved fit plus the buttery-softness of Nulu fabric, these pants have a high rise with a contrasting crossover waistband and bootcut flared legs. Ideal for yoga or days on the move, they're a must-have style that shoppers are "happy to see" back.

"I love these pants. I love that the V shape band is seamless like the waistband on the align pants," reads one five-star review. "I love these pants a lot more than the groove pants because the waistband is seamless and the cut prevents them from rolling down."

"I was happy to see this make a comeback and am looking forward to seeing more of the great styles from the past come back," echoes another.

When the brand first put out the question on Twitter early last month asking which iconic style deserves a comeback, the Astro Pants were a popular suggestion among fans.

Now that it's back in stock, shoppers are already stocking up on this new and improved version of the classic yoga pants. The limited-edition rerelease is sure to sell out quickly (and certain sizes are already gone!), so if you have your heart set on adding these retro yoga pants to your collection, you'll have to act fast.
